I’ve never used the blog in this way, but if you believe in the power of positive energy and prayer like I do, then I can hardly pass up the opportunity to ask some of you who are inclined to send a few prayers to my friends and their son. Sweet Mason, who is 18 months old, has recently been diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma and began chemotherapy today.
Mason’s mother is one of my greatest college friends, my big sister in my sorority, and one of the reasons I actually stayed at my alma mater and didn’t transfer. I’ve seen her courtship with her husband go from friendship to love. I drove out to Las Vegas to meet them and celebrate their engagement when I lived in San Diego and had the opportunity to go down to Connecticut to meet Mason and photograph him last fall. He is such a dear, sweet boy with a lovely disposition and is the light of his parents’ life.
I’m asking that if you are inclined to prayer that you keep this precious boy and his family in your thoughts while they all undergo the most difficult time of their lives. I couldn’t hurt, and every little prayer helps! We would all genuinely appreciate it.
